Aztalan
Anthro Circle members took a trip to Aztalan which is a Middle-Mississippian village that was occupied between 1000 AD and 1300 AD. This site is home to large mounds and a stockade around the village which has been partially reconstructed.
Weekly Meetings
During one of our weekly meetings we played our favorite anthropology themed card game called Tubers to Tubers. At another meeting we were taught how to flint knap by our very own Dr. Kenoyer. Our meetings are both educational and fun and they’re a great opportunity to network, learn, and decompress after a long day of studies.
The American Society of Overseas Research 2023
Some of our members attended the annual meeting of The American Society of Overseas Research (ASOR) in Chicago where they had the opportunity to learn from scholars who conduct research in the Near East and Mediterranean. They also had the chance to explore the city while they were there.
